Network Architect to help the customer drive their enterprise lab network build out.Candidates must be willing to work onsite at the Santa Clara, CA location.
Job Title: Network ArchitectLocation: Santa Clara, CADuration: 6 months Location: Need to be onsite at least 50% of the timeProcess: 2-3 rounds with client, start date in May Job Responsibilities:Design, build and support a critical lab network. This will include high and low level network design, switch configuration, creating cable plans, network fabric design, firmware updating, etc.Qualifications include:- The right candidate would have a thorough and complete knowledge of how networks work. This includes how packets are tracked, the difference between asymmetric and symmetric networks, design principals of Spine/Lead Fabrics etc.
- Technical knowledge of Arista and Mellanox is a major plus
- Technical knowledge of Cumulus networks is a major plus
- Experience designing/architecting Data Center networking plan including high & low level design, implementation and acceptance testing.
- Structured cabling for network connectivity.
- Expert in the field of network designing, implementation and best practices for HPC environments.
- Expert knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS), advanced UNIX services, and Shell scripting
- Deep understanding of HPC and cluster technologies using Infiniband, ROCE.
- Understanding of rack elevation Data center and POD designing using Spine/Leaf Fabrics.
- Strong background in physical cabling types, specifically Infiniband HDR and EDR.
- Strong track record of implementing network services in a variety of distributed computing environments.
- Expert knowledge of SAN and NAS services (iSCSI, NFS, CIFS)
- Understanding of workload schedulers such as Slurm.
- Experience working with configuration management tools like SaltStack, Chef, or Puppet.
