This is not a SW/FW QA role. o Candidate needs to know how to setup test automation and test infrastructure.o Candidate also needs to be able to read and understand the source code to the extent where he/she can develop a robust test plan and execute it. In other words, the person needs to develop the test plan, NOT just execute it. Contractor will be responsible for ensuring the quality of embedded firmware & SW.Work closely with firmware & HW engineer to come up with test plans, evaluating test coverage, documenting test resultsPerform & assist in root cause analysis of complex bugs and failuresRecommend and validate the necessary tools for conducting software & HAL testingRecommend and validate the necessary tools and fixtures for conducting embedded firmware testing with hardware in the loop QualificationsWorking experience with GTest (Google test) or similar test suites.Experience in working across ARM processors tiers of A & M classes.Debugging techniques for embedded FW running on ARM based systems, such as: Trace debugging, GDB, RTOS aware debugging.Interest in embedded systems & programming.Python expert, C, comfortable working with LINUX & FreeRTOS.
