DescriptionRobert Half Management Resources is looking for a strong Controller or Assistant Controller for a 3-6-month engagement with a well-respected Company based in the Santa Clarita area. As the Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations including but not be limited to:-Cost Accounting-Fixed Assets, Inventory, and GL Accounting-Coordination of the monthly close and review process-Preparation and/or review of journal entries and reconciliations-Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements-Assist with creation of internal control policies and proceduresTo be successful in this role, you will need to be a 'roll up your sleeves' self-starter, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 5+ years accounting and controllership experience
Public accounting experience REQUIRED
Manufacturing experience REQUIRED
Cost Accounting experience REQUIRED
CPA REQUIRED
Capacity to assess processes and internal control weaknesses and identify improvements
Strong ERP knowledge
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
