SummaryThe AME, will be a member of the Continuous Improvement team. Working as Project Leader he/she will be in charge to promote, develop and implements new generation of equipment to enhance the automation of ITT Aerospace Assembly Line. His/her main focus will be to analyze the current Processes and research for new technology in partnership with internal manufacturing team and vendors. As member of the AME team he/she will collaborate with the Design Engineering Department on the NPI (New Product Introduction)

ResponsibilitiesDevelop pipeline of CAPEX projects which will support the Assembly Manufacturing Lines, managing the project from the ideation, definition scope of work, solution design, vendor management, equipment validation and implementation.
  • Evaluate and develop a plan to replace/ upgrade equipment that could cause single point failures/bottleneck during assembly and improve overall operational effectiveness.
  • Responsible of developing and installing automated and semi-automated solutions to improve Assembly Line productivity.
  • Enhance current production hydraulic testing equipment introducing state of the art technology and automation.
  • Implement error-proofing solutions for systemic or high-risk opportunities.
  • Continuous improvement projects and Kaizen events to support and enhance the Assembly Line improved efficiency, productivity, and cost reductions.
  • Safety and Environmental Change Management impact as result of the new equipment implementation.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 5 plus years of experience in developing CAPEX projects.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing engineering function in High Mix and Low Volume Assembly Line
  • The knowledge of Fixture and Tool design with advanced 3D modeling Software will be considered a plus.
  • Ability to apply problem solving methods, root cause analysis, workflow and process engineering skills
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge.
