- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent BS degree is preferred,
- 3 years of experience in 2D and 3D CAD modeling in automotive industry, preferably in design of electrical system, chassis or powertrain components.
- Mechanical engineer with an understanding of how to integrate electrical systems
- Some hardware and integration of electrical with the system experience
- Optimizing the battery itself in addition to how it fits in context
- Battery cooling, the sealants involved and other materials for the casing etc, all relevant
- Some experience with electric boxes, harnesses, light composites, etc
- Simulation skills including FEA and kinematic geometry modeling.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and standard codes.
- Knowledge of GD&T practices
- Knowledge of mechanical and cost calculation process.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to identify true root causes.
- Ability to create innovative design concepts based on sound engineering principles.
- Ability to accurately apply engineering theories to design layouts and drawings.
- Background in designing parts for an electrification project is a plus.
