Qualifications• 5-7 years relevant programming experience, undergraduate degree in computer science, business, or equivalent combination of education experience• Utilizes established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to ASP .NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#/VB.NET• Designs, codes, and tests new Windows and web software applications• Object-oriented design experience• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as SVN, Visual SVN• Excellent verbal and written communication skillsResponsibilities• The primary functions of this position are designing, developing, implementing, modifying, and supporting software applications and components for core business process, working from written specifications and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the position while maintaining technical documentation of process flow associated with work• Under general supervision implements all specs of an acceptable application design- high performance design, coding, caching mechanisms, security, encryption, state management, error logging, debugging, scalability, code reviews, development environment configuration, and testing• Participates in every aspect of the development and implementation, working with project analysts to ensure full understanding of the change implications to business processes• Confirms application meets specifications through objective review process• Ensures the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications• Identifies bottlenecks and bugs, log issues and recommend solutions to identified issues• Helps maintain code quality, organization, and automatization• Performs unit and system level testing on applications• Develops data migration and integration processes to legacy systems using identified development tools and technologies• Investigates and develops skills in new technologies• Creates technical specifications and test plans
