Position Overview:Under general supervision, performs noninvasive procedures such as Electrocardiograms, Rhythm strips, Stress Echos, cardiopulmonary, vascular testing or any other tests within scope of a Cardiac Lab Technician, as ordered by the physician. Schedules, coordinates, and charges for cardiac and vascular tests.Performs cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing, such as stress EKG’s, resting EKG’s, treadmill tests, 24-hour holter monitoring, event monitoring, vascular venous studies; documents procedure, processes charges, files reports, and delivers test results to physician according to clinic procedures in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.Qualifications:REQUIRED:
High School Graduate or equivalent
Electrocardiogram (EKG) Certification upon hire
Course work in anatomy and physiology strongly preferred
Minimum 2 years’ experience with patient/customer service; patient greeting, reception and good telephone skills
Minimum six months experience in cardiopulmonary and/or vascular testing may be required by some departments
One year experience in cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing preferred
One year experience in lower arterial and venous testing preferred
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
Able to perform efficiently in multitask environment
Current American Heart Association CPR card
