In this role you will support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) and Terminal High Altitude Air Defense (THAAD) programs performing the Material Requirements Planning activities of a Make Part Planner. Both of these programs play a vital role in securing our national defense and offer unique career opportunities and challenges as we work with our customers to develop defenses that will defend soldiers, citizens, and infrastructure.Summary of Key Duties for this position: You will manage hardware and commodities through manufacturing and the supply chain, execution, and maintenance of supply and demand in relation to make and buy parts You will maintain production systems integrity to drive inventory optimization to minimize cost You will maintain Material Requirements Planning (MRP) parameters including material master data and performance metrics You will expedite and optimize material flow through the supply chain to meet customer requirements You’ll coordinate with manufacturing to provide shop floor control on make parts You will analyze and control production schedule and capacity requirements and execute the plan You will provide timely status and expedite work around plans to preserve schedule Coordinate with Supply Chain Stakeholders including Procurement and Operations Management to determine appropriate time phased plan for procured parts You will execute processes to ensure deliverables meet production schedule requirements You will maintain MRP parameters including lead times and lot sizes and coordinates with Engineering and Change Board Rep to make associated changes to the Bill of Materials (BOM) You will maintain Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system integrity to drive material and production schedules and execute processes per the MRP Command Media You will interface with manufacturing, engineering, quality, procurement, and management, to provide timely status of work products and/or problem identification and resolution You will identify and help develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexityOur employees working in this level of position typically have 0-3 years of professional experience.Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/combined education Proficient usage and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Excel Macros and PowerPoint Project/production planning experience Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a government security clearance at the Secret levelDesired Skills: Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or Supply Chain related degree 1-3 years of professional experience in a related role Strong problem solving skills Strong communication skills and effective at building relationships Ability to work under very general supervision Experience with planning tools (ex: SAP, MS Office) Excellent oral/written communication skills Well organized with ability to prioritize multiple tasks Ability to understand how their direct inputs affect the larger picture Ability to be a change agent Flexible and adaptable to changing environments Good presentation skillsTo promote the sharing of ideas, Lockheed Martin champions an inclusive work environment that encourages differences and big-picture thinking.
