Manager of Engineering & Technology Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA Duration: Direct Hire
Kelly Technology is currently recruiting for a Manager of Engineering & Technology. This is a full time, direct hire role. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of quality and regulatory requirements for medical devices. Candidates must have prior experience managing IT infrastructure and experience using ERP, Unipoint database, Solidworks and SharePoint.The Engineering and Technology Manager oversees both the Engineering and IT groups. This positions manages new and existing technologies, product development and continues improvement. These technologies include manufacturing equipment, computer hardware, software, and techniques. This position shall stay current on the latest technologies and advise Executive Management on relevant emerging technologies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES • Hire, train and mentor other engineers and supporting staff • Work with the Product Development Team and customers to bring new products to market, including tooling, jigs, fixtures and documentation • Provide continuous improvement to existing products, processes, and technologies • Coordinate activities with other groups • Propose budgets for various projects • Communicate effectively with other groups • Manage IT infrastructure (including servers, desktops, laptops and network equipment), database information, disaster recovery, cyber security with the aid of technicians and consultants • High proficient in written and spoken English • Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety and regulations • Understands Quality Policy statementQUALIFICATIONS • Motivated self-starter with a desire to foster a winning team environment • Understanding of quality and regulatory requirements for medical devices • Utilize ERP, Unipoint database and Solidworks • Sharepoint and Database experience is a plus • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily • The employee shall be capable of reading interpreting drawings and maintaining accurate records • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering • A Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred • At least 5-10 years of work experienceWhy Kelly ® ?By partnering with Kelly® IT, you'll have direct connections to top companies around the globe-giving you the chance to put your tech skills to work on some of today's most intriguing, innovative, and high-visibility projects.
