As a Heavy Duty and Automotive Fleet Manager, you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver. We have determined some factors that may enable your success as Heavy Duty Fleet Manager.

FLEET/COMPLIANCE

Manage the fleet to insure we are compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations, California Highway Patrol BIT Program regulations and California Air Resources Board (CARB) program regulations as they apply to vehicle conditions, maintenance/repairs and record keeping.

Managing company/lease equipment and maintenance activities related to maintaining road readiness and DOT compliance.

Other duties as assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

-OSHA Certified-Relevant industry experience within trucking, logistics, etc.

-Strong knowledge of DOT regulations.

-Excellent written and verbal communications skills

-Proficient in MSWord, Excel and Outlook.

-Strong organization skills and must be detailed oriented

-Must be able to multi-task in fast paced environment

-Must be self-directed and motivated.

-Must possess valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

-Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Must be able to prioritize, meet deadlines and be able to delegate to other employees.

To ensure a vehicle operates at maximum efficiency, the auto mechanic must have knowledge of mechanics, and the mechanical profiles and specifications of a variety of automobiles and heavy duty construction equipment.

Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level standards.

Fleet Manager must have a working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.

Heavy Duty Mechanic experience is a must.

Management experience is a plus.

Needs an understanding of computerized repair and testing systems, and must have exceptional eye-hand coordination, physical stamina and skill with tools.
