Under the supervision of a Site Supervisor, supports the classroom teachers of a center to carry out a high quality early childhood program.
REQ: Child Development Teacher Assistant Permit or higher from California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and enrolled in a Child Development Associate credential program to be completed within two (2) years of hire. Some computer knowledge required. Obtain and maintain a current Child Development Permit for position held. Must obtain and maintain a Pediatric First Aid and CPR card. Experience working with children with disabilities desirable, a position in Santa Maria solely works with children with disabilities and bilingual (English/Spanish) is required; bilingual preferred for all other positions. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Substitute positions in all locations always available. Copy of unofficial transcripts are required with completed application.
