PHC is a part of Dignity Health Central Coast’s award-winning network of outstanding hospitals imaging centers laboratories and post-acute services.ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:In keeping with the Pacific Central Coast Health Center's philosophy under the direction and supervision of the Operational and/or Medical Director the limited radiology tech/medical assistant will assist licensed medical staff in the preparation of patients for delivery of services utilizing basic administrative clerical and technical skills. Will perform limited radiology based on limitations of license.QualificationsMinimum:
One - three years’ experience working in a clinic setting or physician office or equivalent training in an approved medical assistant program.
Current CPR Certification- AHA (CT CPRBLS).
Limited Radiology Tech license.
Ability to move quickly from one task to another independently.
Ability to communicate effectively with peers staff and supervisor.
Ability to take instructions comprehend and follow through effectively.
Good verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to read write comprehend and follow written and oral instructions in English; will have direct patient contact.
Computer literate with the ability to type accurately at a moderate pace.
Ability to ensure that diagnosis correlates with the procedure/exam requested.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience in area of clinic specialty.
Bi-lingual Spanish speaking
Certified Medical Assistant
Experience in working with low-income and Spanish-speaking persons.
