Seeking a team member with a positive, friendly attitude and excellent communication skills to join our growing optometry practice. This position will work with the doctor and team to facilitate, support, and maintain optimum patient care. Accuracy and attention to detail are necessary. This position requires both clinical and receptionist skills. Collecting and inputting clinical data into electronic health record system necessary for the visual health and performance of the patient.
This position involves pretesting patients and general oversight/upkeep of the clinic. In this role, youll be responsible for monitoring patient flow, managing contact lenses, and providing patients a good experience during the pretest portion of the exam before seeing the doctor.
Responsibilities:
Patient pre-testing/workup
Patient check-in/check out
Telephone reception, greeting patients
Managing contact lens inventory and products (placing patient orders, ordering and restocking contact lens inventory)
Some insurance billing
Pulling insurance authorizations
Ordering office supplies
Backup Optical Duties:
Orders & work-ups, measurements, repairs, adjustments, dispense eyewear, warranties.
Our practice utilizes electronic health records; therefore computer, typing/keyboarding, email and Internet skills are necessary.
Job Information: 36-38 hours/week. Compensation is hourly and depends greatly upon experience, qualifications, ability to adapt to our teams needs (range: $13-$16/hour), with quarterly bonus incentives available. Benefits include: Six paid holidays per year, 24 hours paid sick time, paid time off, medical insurance, vision & eyewear benefits, retirement.
Schedule: Tuesday through Friday (Mondays off), and Saturday 8:30am 1:00pm is necessary.
