The Production Tech/Materials Specialist position is located in Buellton, CA. This is a full time, temp to hire position with hours from 6am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday. The pay rate is $21 an hour. Employees must agree to work alternative work schedule (OT accrued after 40 total hours worked weekly).

Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs routine tasks such as cleaning, weighing, and set up for operation, packaging, and mixing of materials.
Learns and adheres to safety rules for the work area as it pertains to handling materials and equipment.
Operation of a forklift inside the production building will be required once trained and certified by the client.
Follows manufacturing procedures and written and verbal work instructions.
Perform simple to complex manufacturing or machine operations.
Assists in keeping facility clean and supplies stocked throughout the workday.
Utilizes computers to enter data associated with order processing.
Maintains Production Tech II responsibilities.
Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, and recording location of inventory.
Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
Adheres to safety rules for the work area as it pertains to handling chemicals and equipment.
Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
Receives credit-return material and stores them properly.
Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.
Contributes to team effort by in production processes as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Warehouse Inventory experience
At least 1 year as Production Tech I
Physical ability to lift 50lbs and pass a pre-employment physical.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to reach, grab, hold and use hands and arms.
Must be able to walk from different workstations safely.
Basic computer knowledge.
Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, and decimal conversion for use with weights and measurements.
