We are seeking candidates that are caring and creative individuals to work as Personal Attendants supporting clients in our community based programs in the Lompoc and Santa Maria area. As a Personal Attendant you will provide support to adult individulas with Developmental Disabilities. Part time positions available. Must be available for weekends. Shifts typically are 7a-3p on the weekends, 3p-11p and 11p-7a weekdays and weekends.
Devereux offers reimbursement for the Clean Air Express and Car Pooling partial reimbursement as well!
The IDEAL candidate will: Be empathetic, a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, energetic, creative, understand the theories of behavior management and positive reinforcement, and represent yourself as a positive role model. Additionally, you must be able to complete 40 hours of new hire orientation training, and have a strong passion for working with and helping adults with special needs.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. Experience in a related field is preferred.
Must have a valid California Drivers License, a good driving record and reliable transportaion. One must also be willing to transport clients in own vehicle.
Must be comfortable with providing/assisting with personal care as needed, such as showering, toileting and getting dressed.
