Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone in the Lompoc area looking for work/experience as a Lab Technician. This position is temporary (with potential to become temp to hire for the right fit) and it is Full Time with the hours from 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. The pay rate for this position is $16-22/hr (DOE). If you are qualified and interested in this position, please apply ASAP!

Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assist the lab by analyzing geological samples

Verify material conformance to the appropriate quality requirements

Collect samples

Prepare and use lab apparatus and other testing equipment

Other tasks as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience/Education of Chemistry applications and principles required

Chemistry/General Lab experience

High School Diploma/GED

Strong attention to detail

1+ years working as a lab technician/relevant lab experience or 2+ years of education involving lab work, including working with lab equipment and geological samples (Preferred)

Ability to properly communicate through both oral and written communication

Ability to properly prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Ability to work independently, with little to no instruction, and on a team

Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high pressure environment, while maintaining a high level of quality
