A growing Cybersecurity company in Santa Monica is hiring a Mid Level Java Engineer to join the team. This company in on path to become a top five cybersecurity company in the United States, even as a Pre-IPO company. As a Java Shop, you will get the opportunity to work among some of the best engineers in the country with most of the team built from former Amazon, SpaceX, Google, and Bird engineers. In this Mid Level role you will still be in a position to give input into the architecture direction and put in a position to grow personally and professionally. Must have at least two years of professional Java Development experience using Spring Boot, Rest Microservices, NoSQL, and AWS. Any security or cybersecurity experience is a big plus. Must have Computer Science fundamentals and be a team-player. This position offers great growth as this company has many exciting projects in the pipeline, and an opportunity to impact a growing team. Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of Java development
- Java 8
- SpringBoot
- nHibernate
- REST Apis (microservices)
- SQL/NoSQL
- AWS Lambdas
- Strong understanding of data modelling and algorithms
- Experience with Microservice architecture
- Experience with AWS/serverless architecture (Lambdas)
- Strong OOP skills
- Experience with TDD
- Bachelors' or higher in computer science or comparable
- Experience with messaging/queuing technologies like RabbitMQ of AWS SQS are a nice to have
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks are a nice to have (Angular 2+)
