Role DescriptionAs Agile Delivery Manager you’ll work closely with our Product and Engineering teams as we tackle complex challenges for our customers and the Defense & Security sector at large, during an exciting phase of evolution and growth.You will have a deep understanding of agile, software development, be a true advocate of coaching to realise organisational efficiency and be keen to maintain a “hands on” focus. You will be adept at engaging with senior stakeholders and focusing on the business benefits of agile implementation and ways of working. This role will be core to the success and ongoing evolution of AirMap's airspace management and defense solutions, bridging the technical and business worlds as we design, create, delivery, and manage compelling product solutions, specific to customer needs.

  • Take care of the overall milestone planning, execution, delivery and release of our largest and most complex cross-team engineering initiatives
  • Supporting Product Owners to deliver against a budget and clear business value
  • Provide visibility of deliverables to stakeholders and the wider team
  • Highlight delays and blockers to stakeholders as required to assist the delivery function.
  • Plan and facilitate collaborative sessions to help set realistic expectations for cross-team projects
  • Communicate status of cross-team projects to senior leadership
  • Guide teams to reflect and identify improvements and successfully embed new approaches that move them towards high performance. Identify
  • frequently occurring technical blockers, and work with teams to get them resolved.
  • Ensure quality and software operability are included into all aspects of the delivery lifecycle (from the very beginning)
  • Form relationships with other delivery managers and stakeholders across the company; use these relationships to get and stay informed about relevant activities.
  • Help keep the wider team focussed on our half yearly objectives.
  • Support product owners in visualising the roadmap, measuring and being able to articulate product value as well as prioritisation of the backlog.
  • Bring together different disciplines from UX, Product, Technical Specialist / SME Engineering to support alignment across the organisation.
  • Support teams in using relevant agile frameworks, such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Identify where a coaching or mentoring approach is required and apply these techniques to guide teams and individuals to adopting an agile mindset.

Location: Open to applicants located in North America with confirmed working visa status

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of proven working experience managing multiple cross-functional and distributed teams, in scenarios with multiple stakeholders.
  • Comfortable in a highly visible client facing role.
  • Sound foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure and architecture.
  • Experience as a scrum master, delivery manager, agile project manager or similar within technical teams.
  • Experience of Agile metrics, retrospective formats and tools for improvement.
  • Experience applying frameworks and methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Passionate about Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, Agile Mindset, Awareness and experience with Agile techniques: user/job stories, maximise flow, automated. testing, continuous deployment, pairing, etc. Comfortable with data and analytics
  • Confidence in facilitation, training and coaching teams for high performance.
  • Experience in Airspace Management (UTM), UAV, Aerospace, Defense, Govenrment, Machine Learning / AI products is a bonus.
