Radiation Therapist

We are looking for a Radiation Therapist with AMG Round Barn Radiation Theraphy Department at St. Jospeh Heritage Healthcare.Location: Santa Rosa, CaliforniaSchedule: Full-timeShift: DayJob Summary:Under the direction of the department manager and supervision of the lead therapist, performs treatments utilizing all modern radiotherapy techniques, wedged filtration, arc rotations, tangential irradiation and extended field irradiation according to the department standardsSkills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, regulatory documents, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with patients and employees of the organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumferences and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to concentrate on details in a busy and distracting environment.Position Requirements:Education:Requires a high school diploma or GED and satisfactory completion of formal therapeutic radiological technology training at an approved school and meets requirements for registry by the ARRT in radiotherapy.License / Certification: Certificate as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in therapeutic technology from the State of California.
