Vintage Wine Estates is a dynamic, rapidly growing organization seeking a full-time Wine Consultant to join our team. Customer service is central in our culture, with focus on both our external and internal customers. We value individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit who enjoy working with a professional, results-driven team in a collaborative environment.The Wine Consultant will join a team of inside sales professionals who follow up with customers in order to generate wine sales and build a lasting customer base. This position is responsible for communicating with winery contacts and other potential wine buyers to drive sales and create customer relationships. The ideal candidate for this role would have experience making outbound sales calls to potential clients. We are looking for individuals who share our enthusiasm for quality wine as well as a passion for exceptional, personalized service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Make outbound calls to prospective customers in effort to gain their business and establish relationship

Converts inbound inquiries into sales by answering inbound telephone calls

Contact existing customers to promote special offerings and releases of wines they have shown interest in

Document transactions and maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up customer communication touch points

Submitting accurate details for custom label orders

Obtain final approval from customers regarding custom labels

Approving custom labels on behalf of customer

Call customers to check their details and update contact records, if necessary

Inform customers of vintage outages or product outage updates

Maintains wine and selling knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications

Maintains operations by following order processing policies and procedures; reporting needed changes

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

As a team player, you may be requested to assist staff in other departments and/or assist with training of new hires on occasion

Any and all other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Excellent sales skills, including reading, understanding and selling to customer needs, and closing skills

Goal oriented, result driven, and competitive

Self-disciplined, motivated, and ability to work independently

Capable of multi-tasking

Strong computer skills, preferred

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage one’s own time, prioritize responsibilities, keen sense of urgency when necessary

Solid product knowledge and initiative to continually learn about new products

1+ years of sales experience required

Outgoing and positive personality

Customer service experience, preferred

Experience in Cold Calling

Prior wine knowledge, desired

Must share company values: integrity, respect, value creation, compliance, customer focus

Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work in an evolving environment with enthusiasm

Must be able to speak and communicate clearly

Must be able to speak and communicate clearly as majority of the work is done via telephone

Flexible scheduling may be required primarily during the holiday season
