DescriptionYou might be a qualified candidate for this Bookkeeper role if you are a self-driven and organized accounting professional who thrives in a deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision. We are aiming to find a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper for our client. In this Full Charge Bookkeeper position, you will regulate journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, and bank reconciliations. The clerical staff will address any concerns to the Full Charge Bookkeeper. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Sausalito, California area. Develop monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
Organize cash flow projections, as needed
Experienced with credit card management and reconciliation
Maintain sales tax records and creates and files quarterly payments
Accounts Receivable
Record budget transfers
Produce cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.
Update Accounts Payable
Monthly accounting close
Work on special projects occasionally
Summarize business license and gross receipts
Requirements
Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
2+ years of related experience- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
Sound written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Prior accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Quality experience with Personal Property Tax
Proven knowledge of QuickBooks
Experience with High Net Worth Individuals
General familiarity with payroll
Skills in Sales Tax Returns
Solid understanding of journal entries
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Solid understanding of full charge bookkeeping
Well-founded grasp of Local Payroll Tax
Practical knowledge of in-house payroll
Deep understanding of Bank Account Reconciliation
Foundational knowledge in bank reconciliations
Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel
General familiarity with Quickbooks Premier, QuickBooks Pro, and/or QuickBooks Online
Comprehension of Individual Tax Return
Previous experience working with Sales Tax
Form 1099 experience required
Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Proven knowledge of bank statement reconciliation
Experience with Bank Deposit
Strong analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills.
