Find your future with us.Boeing Space and Launch organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Leader for Subject Matter Expert or Senior Program Management Specialist for Hardware & Software Integration (HSI) leadership. This position is located in Seal Beach, CA, or El Segundo, CA .

The position requires exceptional program management skills in order to successfully interact with program manager-level counterparts across the program and from multiple government agencies who represent the customer program office, subcontractors, and user groups, including government oversight contractors. The role includes leading and managing multi-disciplinary IPT teams in the coordination and development of Hardware & Software Integration to achieve first-time quality in system software development and delivery through end-to-end integration of hardware and software design, testing, verification, and validation.

The position requires domain knowledge in space systems and development experience in software integrated into hardware elements. Other key capabilities include clear and concise, written and oral communication of complex subjects to Boeing Executive leadership and at all levels of customer engagement.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.Position Responsibilities:

Will be accountable for a cross-discipline Integrated Product Team (IPT)

Responsible for the IPT execution, delivery on cost and schedule commitments, and technical management of products from the development, integration, test, and delivery of a collection of activities.

Responsible for oversight of software development for system level, flight control software, and ground simulator software including the development of software to software interfaces for hardware and software integration.

Responsible for oversight of the development of system test beds and software testing on system test beds used in the verification of requirements

Accountability includes customer satisfaction, mission success, program execution, and performance against company financial objectives.

Responsibilities include the development of strong customer relationships with senior government officials, and driving performance improvement through program management best practices.

Negotiating and collaborating with numerous small and large subcontractors on technical and schedule commitments

Coordinating program staffing needs with Boeing Engineering Capabilities and functions.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.

5+ years of experience in a hardware or software development environment

3+ years of experience in hardware and software integration

3+ years of experience leading or managing cross-functional or cross-organizational teams within engineering and/or test

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience with system integration (hardware, firmware, software)

10 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

15 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience in Satellite or Space Programs

Experience working with suppliers

Experience in the implementation and use of Program Management Best Practices

Experience in the implementation of Agile software development

Experience in system-level test design and execution

Experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and government customers and representatives

Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
