About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial operations across several related entities, including The Cobra Experience (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit museum), Cobra Performance/CSXParts.com (automotive restoration and parts e-commerce business), and minimal time on real estate transactions.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in an organized, fast-paced environment, can manage multiple ledgers, and enjoys a mix of nonprofit and business accounting.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting & Bookkeeping

Maintain accurate books for multiple entities using QuickBooks Online.

Process accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank and credit card accounts.

Manage payroll and related filings.

Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports.

Track intercompany transfers, reimbursements, and shared expenses.

Nonprofit Accounting (The Cobra Experience)

Maintain documentation for IRS compliance and 501(c)(3) reporting.

Assist in preparing reports for the Board and annual filings (Form 990).

E-Commerce & Inventory (Cobra Experience and CSXParts.com)

Reconcile online sales, deposits, and merchant accounts (Shopify, PayPal, Stripe).

Track cost of goods sold (COGS) and manage inventory adjustments.

Prepare sales tax reports and filings.

Record property income, expenses, and mortgage payments.

Track capital improvements and depreciation schedules.

Administrative & Reporting

Coordinate with CPA for quarterly and year-end tax preparation.

Generate internal financial summaries for management review.

Maintain organized electronic and paper records for audits and compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience.

Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Excel.

Experience handling multi-entity or intercompany accounting.

Understanding of nonprofit accounting principles preferred.

Experience with e-commerce accounting (Shopify, PayPal, merchant deposits) a plus.

Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.

Discretion, professionalism, and reliability are essential.
