Teach costume design theory and practice including history of costume, design principles, basic construction techniques, use of rental resources, and costuming methodology.2. Teach design of makeup including basic and specialized stage makeup, use of materials and management of makeup needs in production.3. Manage inventory, issuance, and retrieval of costume and makeup kits and other items required for participation in these classes.4. Advise department in the design and acquisition of costume and makeup items used in departmental theatre productions.5. Maintain contact with professional theatre community in support of student internship and pre-professional certificate training.6. Instruct Theatre literature classes such as Introduction to Theatre and Survey of Classical and Survey of Modern Drama.7. Perform duties associated with instructing and assessing student progress including but not limited to: demonstration of skills, structuring and supervising student practice, planning lessons and grading.8. Complete required record keeping tasks such as submitting grades or Student Learning Outcome reports in a timely manner.9. Design instructional materials, activities and assessments that promote student learning and achievement.10.
