We are a cocktail lounge looking for experienced candidates to fill a part-time Bar Security Officer opportunity.Ideally, this person either has or is looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry (Hotel/Restaurant/Bar).
The opportunity is for Wednesdays - Saturdays between 9:00pm-2:00am + occasional Sunday or as needed for special events.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests when they arrive and leave
- Check IDs in accordance with ABC guidelines
- Keep sidewalk outside bar clear of loitering guests and pedestrians
- Monitor guests for signs of intoxication
- De-escalate conflicts which involved customers
- Call 911 and interface with SFPD in emergencies
- Interface with the team to manage and control guest flow
- Assist in clearing glassware and closing up at end of the night
Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Aptitude in speaking and understanding English
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Security experience in a hotel, restaurant, bar or nightclub preferred
- Active guard card a plus
- Physical fitness and stamina for standing, walking, and occasional physical intervention required.
Pay: $22+/hour (depending on experience)
