We are a small local catering company seeking an experienced kitchen manager.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and execute catering events from start to finish, in collaboration with our chef
- Create menus that focus on seasonality, flavor, and creativity
- Write prep and grocery lists for events
- Fill in for our empanada-maker when necessary
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation
- Oversee inventory management and order supplies as needed
- Perform weekly/monthly kitchen upkeep, cleaning, organization, etc.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years in a kitchen setting with managerial responsibility
- Proven experience in kitchen management, restaurant operations, or catering services
- Strong organizational and planning ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Understanding of culinary techniques and food service management
- Driver's license and reliable transportation; personal vehicle preferred
