Job description

Saratoga Country Club, in Saratoga California is looking for a line cook with strong grill experience to join our team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and engaged.

Responsibilities

Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.

Skilled in operating and maintaining various types of grills.

Proven ability prepping and knives skills to prepare and cook a wide range of grilled menu items to order, ensuring proper temperature, seasoning, and presentation.

Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Monitor grill temperatures and equipment performance with consistency.

Practice correct food handling and storage procedures according to company and state regulations.

Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional workplace conduct with members and coworkers.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Cooking experience or Back of the House experience required.

Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Schedule

We are open 6 days a week for lunch (Tuesday-Sunday) and 3 nights a week for dinner (Friday-Sunday).

The position is for our dinner shifts, Friday-Saturday-Sunday. We are open for dinner from 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm. We are looking for a candidate that can work from 6 to 10 hours per day.

May be needed on other days if available.

Requirements

Serve Safe Food Handling Certification

Requires mobility to stand and walk extensively during meal preparation and service. Lifting boxes, up to 25 pounds. Pushing/Pulling Food up to 50 pounds. Bending and stooping for access to carts, food, trays, and other kitchen equipment.

Ability to provide documents for work authorization. We utilize E-Verify, an online system that allows us to confirm the eligibility of our employees to work in the United States.
