Join our lively and upbeat team at a popular diner in the vibrant Mission District of San Francisco! We are looking for a cheerful and dedicated Pastry Assistant, with the potential to advance into a Lead role, to help us create delicious and eye-catching desserts that keep our guests coming back for more.
Responsibilities:
Ability to follow recipes and scale ingredients accurately
Ability to lift 50# and stand for 8hr shifts
Strong communication skills with staff and managers for ordering, inventory, and time management
Ability to work in a high volume kitchen without sacrificing detail and quality
Prior pastry experience is preferred but not required- this is a hands-on role for someone who has a deep desire to learn, has a positive attitude, has a passion for their craft, and is enthusiastic about pastry and the modern American diner experience!
Qualifications:
Experience in baking or pastry preparation preferred
Passion for creating sweet treats with attention to detail and learning new techniques
Production for daily menu items such as breads, cake assemblies, and pie assemblies
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
