Throughout the years at The Star Pizza & Little Star Pizza we have been lucky enough to create a culture in our restaurants that is employee focused and committed to our communities. At this time many people across the country are impacted by this crisis, specifically those in the restaurant industry. We are fortunate to be operational, and are hiring in a limited capacity and recruiting for the future.
The Star & and Little Star Pizza is looking for support staff at our takeout counter as well as experienced kitchen staff. We’re a customer-service oriented company that takes great care of our employees and provides plenty of room for growth. Our ideal applicants are friendly, reliable, and team-oriented. Qualified and experienced servers and bartenders are welcome to apply for current employment, and the potential to continue on in those departments when we reopen
Desired qualifications for the takeout position include:
Be the face of the restaurant at the Take Out counter
Greet all guests and delivery drivers warmly and take the time to ensure each person is treated well and with respect.
Answer phones and enter orders in the POS.
Assist delivery drivers with order pick up.
Process payment for all pick up orders.
Be ready and willing to assist fellow staff as situations arise.
Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
The kitchen position job requirements include:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen personnel.
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Properly adhere to all food safety standards
