We have just reopened and have been flooded with guests. Our staff is overworked and exhausted. As a result we have an immediate need for EXPERIENCED Bartenders, Servers, an Assistant General Manager, Drink Runners, Bussers and other FOH positions
Our two story structure, extensive socially distanced outside and waterfront tables make this a physically demanding job. Sailor Jack's Restaurant is a newly reopened and freshly restored Historic water front venue that was recently featured on Fox News. We are thriving while utilizing employee masks, sanitizing the hands of each guest while adhering to appropriate social distancing protocols. We are an upscale, fast paced, dining destination on the water in Benicia. Our two story historic venue requires applicants to be able to be able to handle the physical challenges of going up and down two stories and carry food a distance to waterfront tables.
To fit in with our team, an applicant must be experienced, personable, dependable, team oriented. This award winning venue offers breathtaking bay views and provides a great opportunity for gratuity enhanced compensation. We are looking for articulate, personable, self confident and well groomed individuals who can enhance the dining experience of each guest that crosses their path.
Ideal candidates for our open Bartender, Server, Assistant General Manager and FOH positions will have the following qualities:
Established hands on experience in a full service Restaurant for Bartenders, Servers and Assistant General Manager positions (Drink Runners and Bussers can be trained without experience)
Conditioning and ability to travel up and down stairs easily as a requirement of the job.
The physical strength to carry at least 40 lbs. up and down a flight of stairs.
Bartender, Server and Assistant General Manager applicants must have a working knowledge or aptitude toward learning about food, wine and service.
A genuine, friendly and guest oriented attitude and demeanor
The ability to work with poise in a fast pace and high volume restaurant
The ability to multi-task efficiently without compromising quality of service or guest interactions
The stamina to work at a fast proficient pace among a large expanse of outside socially distanced service areas and two separate floors of service, as needed
Bartending applicants must have a demonstrable skill set for making craft cocktails on demand
