Working on the Homeless Services Team, under the direction of the Homeless & Community Services Manager and the Continuum of Care (CoC) Coordinator, this Senior Community Development Specialist position is responsible for supporting the work of the CoC Board, its membership, and the alignment and integration of the CDC's homeless services systems with other County department/agency systems of care. Additionally, this position:Provides administrative support to the Safety Net work groups and CoC task groups, including the management of CoC membership wiki/web postings and the coordination and documentation of CoC Board meeting activities

Supports efforts to engage Safety Net partners in the Coordinated Entry System

Assists in the development and application of data sharing agreements

Conducts data analysis, evaluation, and performance monitoring for CoC and Safety Net projects

Provides analysis, writing, and coordination of grant applications related to County-wide Safety Net efforts

Organizes training sessions for providers regarding the application of Housing First, Harm Reduction, Client-Centered Care, and other evidence-based practices, which are crucial to meeting Safety Net and state and federal program needs

Provides back-up to the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) administrator and organizational support for community mobilizations such as the annual Homeless CountThe ideal candidate will have superb interpersonal skills, be skilled at building and fostering working relationships, and possess:Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and an aptitude for efficiently managing competing demands

A proven track record of exercising excellent judgment and a common sense approach to addressing challenging customer service situations
