We are a fast growing private dental practice looking for a full-time Front Office / Dental Assistant floater.

Our office is located in Los Gatos with a friendly patient base. Our main focus is the quality of care and making our patients feel welcomed and satisfied. Safety of our staff and patients is our top priority and we implemented extreme safety measures and protocols to navigate through this pandemic. You will be working full time Monday through Thursday, and 6 hours on Fridays. We start our day at 9:00AM with a 1-hour lunch break. We are looking for a friendly, fast learning and motivated candidate with strong team playing skills. The candidate should be able to work independently and have outstanding communication and chair-side manners. Previous Front Office experience is necessary, as well as experience with Dentrix software. The candidate is also required to have X-ray and CPR certifications. The position offers health insurance, 401k and vacation benefits.

Responsibilities:

Front Office with assisting the dentist when needed. Primary responsibilities:

- Patient communication

- Scheduling appointments

- Welcome customers in the dental office

- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

- Backup Insurance coordinator.

- Backup on treatment coordinating.

- Taking digital x-rays

- Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort

- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed

- Sterilize instruments according to regulations

- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry

- Undertake lab tasks as instructed

- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions

- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked

Skills:

- Good computer skills

- Excellent communication and people skills

- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods

- Understanding of health & safety regulations

- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus

- Attention to detail

- Well-organized and reliable

- High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred

- X-ray and CPR certifications are required

Experience:

- Dental: 1 year (Required)

- Front office: 1 year (Preferred)

- Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
