Our residential staff are responsible for supporting the daily living activities of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

As the Group Home Manager you will be responsible for the general oversight of the day-to-day functions of the home and will provide assistance and support to residents in a manner that ensures their health, safety and happiness. The House Manager will ensure a home atmosphere that reflects respect and caring for residents and staff. The House Managers work 5 days a week.

Cedars houses are home to 5 to 6 residents with varying levels of independent living skills, with home levels of 2, 3 and 4. You will assist residents with goals in the areas of independent living, recreational activities, and personal care. Responsibilities also include: maintaining a clean, safe and healthy environment; cooking and housekeeping; administrative functions; tracking and assisting with medications.

General Qualifications: ¨

¬ Love of people; desire to help others achieve their full potential.

¬ Common sense, good judgment, ability to think ahead, and take initiative. ¨

¬ Must have appropriate experience with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities .

¬ Ability to use email and computer is necessary. ¨

¬ Have current CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to acquire it. ¨

¬ MUST be able to drive a regular passenger van: Valid California drivers license, Clean DMV record. ¨

¬ Need to pass FBI and DOJ background check, an occupational health physical, including TB Test.¨

¬ Candidates must pass both DSP (Direct Support Professional) I and II (or posses the certifications), within first 12 and 24 months of hire.

¬ Must acquire the Adult Residential Facility certification.

¬ Must be able to Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.

¬ MUST be able to work weekends.

¬ This is a live-in position
