We are a medium sized Design/Build/Maintenance company focused on high level horticultural care. We also provide opportunities for training and career advancement to our employees. We are currently looking to hire full time Landscape Maintenance Laborers and Crew Leaders in a wage range from $14.00/hr. (zero landscape experience) to $20+/hr. (highly experienced crew leaders). Our wages are based off a unique point system where wages are determined directly by your specific skill set giving control of how much money you make based on your desire to seek out training and advance your knowledge of various aspects of the landscape industry. Individuals who enter our company with a strong desire to learn, work hard, and represent our company culture in the field, are met with a team of top level supervisors ready to provide all the knowledge and direction to take your career to the highest level. After 3 months we review all new hires and re-evaluate their wage based on the skills and conduct displayed since their hire date, new hires have a potential for a wage increase when they have focused on improving their skills during this period. Whether you have no experience in landscaping and are looking for something new and physical, or are an industry veteran with years of experience, there is a satisfying place for you in our company so long as you have the right attitude and conduct.

DUTIES FOR LANDSCAPE LABORER
Under supervision of Crew Leader, performs a variety of landscape maintenance tasks with plants, irrigation, turf, and lighting. Must be able to meet production rates and quality levels outlined by Gardenworks based on skill level and experience.
-Mow, blow, edge, fertilize turf
-Prune, hand weed, maintain irrigation, and fertilize various shrubs and trees
-Operate a variety of hand and power tools such as mowers, blowers, hedge trimmers, weed eaters.
-Be on your feet most of the day and be able to regularly lift 50-75lbs
-Follow direction from Crew Leader and communicate effectively about landscape issues and tasks
-Drive truck/trailer, check and stock equipment
DUTIES FOR LANDSCAPE CREW LEADER
Under direction of Maintenance Supervisor, leads a crew of 1-3 laborers for maintenance of plants, irrigation, turf, and lighting. Must be able to communicate needs of the client from the supervisor to the crew, ensures quality of all work, and communicates with clients if necessary. Crew leaders also complete daily time sheets and communicate client/site needs with supervisor on a daily basis.
Crew Leaders should also be competent in the following areas:
-Identifying plant health and pest issues
-Identifying components of irrigation systems
-Basic troubleshooting and repairs for both drip and spray irrigation systems
-Programming irrigation controllers
-Identifying components of low voltage outdoor lighting systems
-Basic troubleshooting and repairs to low voltage outdoor lighting systems
Crew Leaders are also expected to be proficient with all hand and power tools used in landscape maintenance including 21'' mowers, 36'' mowers, hard edgers, string weedeaters, hedge trimmers, blowers, etc. Must meet criteria set by Gardenworks for professionalism, quality of workmanship, and production rates.
QUALIFICATIONS
-Clean DMV/Valid license
-Must be able to pass E-Verify (http://www.uscis.gov/e-verify)
-Able to be on your feet all day and regularly lift 50-75lbs
-Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English) is beneficial but not required
-Landscape Industry experience is a plus but not required
-Landscape Industry Certifications such as CLT/LIC/QWEL/Bay Friendly are a major plus but not required
-Vocational or College classes in horticulture/landscaping are a plus
-Reliable, show up on time every day
