Related Management is currently seeking an experienced Live-in Lead Maintenance Technician to join us at a133 unit affordable community in San Jose, CA. Responsibilities include:
- Completion of resident work orders (general repairs, plumbing, appliance repairs)
- Prepare vacant units for future renters
- Upkeep of the grounds and amenities
- Ensure all equipmentis in working condition and followpreventative maintenance schedule
- Inspect the building and property on a daily basis and immediately address safety issues
- Respond to emergency maintenance repairs after normal working hours
- Make budget recommendations to the Community Manager for all maintenance line items
- Order and maintain inventory of building materials and supplies
- Coordinate with contractors/vendors and obtain bids for repairs and replacements
- Other responsibilities as needed and assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in general maintenance
- Affordable housing experience preferred
- HVAC:repairs, cleans, replaces, etc.
- Plumbing: repairs, replace parts, installation
- Carpentry: repairs and installs doors, shelves, countertops, locks, etc.
- Painting: drywall/plaster repairs, painting
- Electrical/Appliance: lighting, wiring, power circuits, replacing switches,etc.
- Must able to lift 50LBS and stand for 8 hours
- MUST have valid Driver's License
- MUST live on-site (2 bedroom/1 bathroom unit)
Emergency on-call is required
Compensation: $25 - $26.75 per hour + annual discretionary bonus potential + apartment
