We are a San Francisco-based tech conference company responsible for producing the worlds largest conferences for software developers and engineering professionals. We are seeking a full-time marketing associate who can join our team to execute our marketing strategies and engage our community year-round. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial growth attitude toward marketing and be able to learn the developer technology industry. Responsibilities of the Marketing Associate role:
Managing email newsletter campaigns and newsletter templates, including gathering content and getting approval from team members
Managing our community of speakers, sponsors, VIPs with direct email communication
Draft marketing content for media partners, community partners, meetups, etc
Implementing display ad campaigns on Facebook, Google, etc.
Phone-based customer service with VIP community members, answering questions about our conferences
Proficiency in understanding the developer technology industry, help allocate speakers and talks into conference tracks and topics
Required previous skills and experience:
Managing email newsletter campaigns using email campaign software such as Mailchimp
Mail merge emails and mailing lists
Drafting and proofreading content for emails, blog posts, articles, etc.
Engaging a community via Twitter, Facebook, blogs / forms, etc.
Maintaining a marketing timeline including tracking performance metrics
Phone-based communication with customers / accounts / content sources
