Interior Design Assistant / Procurement Manager
We are a small residential and commercial interior design company,
looking for an experienced Design Assistant/Expeditor to join the team. As a small business we are looking for a driven self starter, willing and able to wear many different hats.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Independently manage all aspects of product ordering: obtain quotes, prepare proposals, manage client approval process, process client deposits , prepare vendor PO’s
Independently manage orders, track the production, shipment, and delivery of each item, prepare updates
Coordinate and manage FF&M budgets, client invoicing, delivery and installation.
Assist in product research (sourcing furniture, fixtures , lighting hardware etc.
Maintain the office sample library
Assist in producing presentation materials and in presenting designs to clients
Maintain and develop interior design resources
Manage office logistics (shipping/ receiving and supplies)
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years’ experience working in Interior Design field
Prior experience as a design assistant or purchasing manager is highly desirable
Experience working in Design Spec (or similar) and Quick Books
Excellent organizational skills
High attention to detail
Understanding of Interior Design Industry and process.
Must be willing to take ownership of procurements
Understanding of business and accounting principles is a must
Hours: Flexible 25-30 h per week onsite in Redwood City
