About Olden Labs

Do you want to change the world? Olden Labs is bringing animal research to the forefront of the cutting edge. While technologies that generate terabytes of data are the norm in the rest of biology, animal research is still conducted manually with low-throughput tools. As a result, animal studies are costly, laborious, poorly reproducible and stressful on animals. We are combining robotics, AI and genetic engineering to build the animal research labs of the 21st century. Our mission is to radically improve animal testing for mankind.

We have developed a system that can track individual animals with >99% accuracy at economically feasible cost. By combining classical computer vision, deep convolutional neural networks, and new animal ID tagging technology into one pipeline, the system is able to rapidly self-correct while running lean. Combined with low-cost hardware that can be installed in existing infrastructure, Olden’s product, called the DOME, allows large-scale and long-term deployment of smart cages for the first time.

Through our efforts, we are enabling faster drug discovery, better therapeutics, and a longer healthspan for all.

Join Olden Labs and help us accelerate drug development by bringing animal research into the Information Age.
