JACO Machine Works is an AS9100 certified machine shop supporting the medical, aerospace and semiconductor industries. We are in immediate need of a QA/QC Inspector for our growing operation. This position is for first shift with overtime available to someone who can:
Inspect company's product and materials for conformance to customer specifications.
Use various measurement instruments and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, thread and pin gages, comparators, etc.
Set up and operate CMM's and interpret the measurement results.
Able to communicate inspection results with production personnel to resolve dimensional issues.
Follow production procedures and instructions.
Identify and document non-conforming product.
Read and understand drawings and written specifications.
Perform receiving, first article, in-process, lot sampling, and final inspections.
Record information as required.
Adhere to suspect counterfeit material prevention and awareness process.
Required Job Skills:
Must be organized and accurate with documentation.
Must have a strong work ethic and work well with others.
Desired Education/Experience:
High school diploma and 1-2 years inspection experience.
Experience with JobBoss shop software a plus.
Background in AS9100 or ISO9001 work environment a plus.
Experience preparing AS9102 first article inspection reports a plus.
Must be knowledgeable of GD&T.
Familiar with PC-DMIS and CALYPSO CMM software a plus.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide measurement units, common fractions, and decimals. Working in and converting metric/imperial units.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer use. Working with Word/Notepads, Excel, and logging in to databases, etc.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
