POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Supervisor will provide clinical oversight and administrative supervision to all therapists and counselors within Aldea’s Counseling Services and Substance Use Disorder Services programs. Supervision duties include but are not limited to: maintaining supportive, collaborative working relationships with supervisees, clients and the leadership team; ensuring that services offered to clients are clinically, legally and ethically sound; enhancing the professional skills of the clinical staff; and supporting supervisees’ adherence to policies and practices that enhance the quality of programmatic and agency functioning. In addition, the candidate may also provide direct assessment, treatment and necessary collateral services to assigned youth and families as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Provide individual and group supervision, as well as training and case consultation as needed to clinicians registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences, field placement practicum and other staff providing clinical services.

- Ensure clinical soundness of services offered through ongoing monitoring and evaluation of all assigned program staff.

- Evaluate and co-sign clinical documentation completed by supervisees, training supervisees as needed to ensure compliance with Medi-Cal and agency requirements.

- Manage supervisees’ productivity and caseload according to agency requirements.

- Work collaboratively with other Aldea staff, including those providing psychiatric/medical and social services, quality improvement oversight and agency administrative functions.

- Participate in program leadership meetings and trainings, including but not limited to leadership team meetings, weekly intake meetings, clinical supervisory consultation meetings, and county compliance trainings.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an MFT or LCSW required, two years post licensure preferred.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills and demonstrated ability to motivate a team, while taking direction from agency leadership.

- Experience in providing clinical supervision to licensed professionals, pre-licensed interns, and/or graduate students providing treatment services to children, families and adults preferred.

- Experience working with Medi-Cal and related documentation requirements.
