Business and Personal Assistant (oakland piedmont / montclair)

Home office - Piedmont / Oakland. Seeking a long-term assistant experienced in both business and personal assistant matters. Employer is a rental property owner. However, domestic tasks are approximately 25% of the job.

Four days per week, preferably Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Vacation and sick leave.

No medical benefits.

Salary Range: $25-30/hour

REQUIRED TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Employer is not technically savvy, so employee needs to be able to complete computer/tech related tasks independently):

Computer work (MacOS) - document creation (word processing and spreadsheet, prefer experience with iWork suite), editing, email correspondence, putting ads on Craigslist (with photos), internet research and purchases. Experience and competence with using a printer/scanner/copier for a wide variety of tasks (photos, websites, scanning documents, enlargement).

Troubleshooting and problem solving related to computer, printer/fax/copier, cameras, other electronic, software updates. Ability to research and find solutions using online resources or contacting appropriate company or service provider.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Non-smoker. Good memory, follows directions easily, orderly, organized, responsible, respectful, observant, and of good character.

Driver's license and excellent driving record. Must drive owner's car occasionally.

College graduate (preferred). Must have excellent language, writing and editing skills. Formal letter writing.

Clerical work, filing, phones, calendaring, payables and receivables. This is a hard copy office (old school). Legible handwriting and printing is important.

Personal and business related duties - errands, shopping, occasional light gardening and cleaning. Handyperson experience helpful. Employer is a senior and short in height, therefore height and strength are appreciated.
