OFFICE ASSISTANT- FULL TIME

Windowsmith is looking for an extremely dependable and fun full time Office Assistant who radiates friendliness and warmth and will light up this office, and everyone who you encounter, with sunshine and positive energy. This is a personal and professional position of trust, authority, and responsibility.

Located in Concord in a beautiful office park.

Nearest cross street is Concord Avenue and Diamond Blvd.

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. WILL TRAIN.

We need a sharp learner with an adult ability to multi-task and work under pressure while at all times remaining perfectly friendly and helpful to even the most difficult customers.

THIS POSITION IS FOR A NON-SMOKER:

The other AWESOME office people at Windowsmith are personally deathly allergic to even a hint of second-hand smoke. You will not be able to hide it. They will know and you will be terminated on the spot. Please do not apply if you smoke at all.

HOURS:

This position is what we call the "CLOSER"

You will generally report to work at 9:00am and work until closing.

You will get off every day at a different time because it all depends on when the teams come in and you get your work done. On occasion, you may be required to open the company very early in the morning and also close resulting in a very long work day. This is a full-time position with potential for overtime without notice. You could easily work a 60-hour week without warning. You will generally have weekends off but may be required to work a very rare Saturday during our busiest time of year.

PAY:

This position pays $20.00 hr.

OFFICE ATTIRE:

You are to be wide awake, alert, and freshly groomed when you report to work each day. You may dress casually and comfortably. Shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, jeans, etc. are all acceptable as long as they are worn in a tasteful and respectful manner. No facial piercings or excessive tattoos.

NO HEELS! You will be walking in the shop/backroom and must wear appropriate shoes that are non-skid and safe.

YOU WILL HAVE AUTHORITY OVER OTHER EMPLOYEES:

You will sometimes have control over day-to-day office operations, some employee related issues, scheduling, customer communication, and office/customer/employee interaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

It is your responsibility to help keep this company running efficiently and smoothly. It is your responsibility to follow any other instructions, and perform any other related duties, as may be required.

You must demonstrate a fun, radiant, energetic, warm, positive, bubbly, and friendly personality. (Like us!)

You must demonstrate an amazing work ethic that can see the big picture of the company.

You must demonstrate attention to details, ability to work alone, and ability to multi-task with accuracy.

You must have general knowledge of the cities in Contra Costa County, where they are located, how they are connected, and the freeway system.

Answering phones with enthusiasm, energy, and handling every caller professionally.

You must be able to handle tough, complaining, unreasonable phone calls with the same friendliness, confidence and energy that you answer the nice and easy customers. In other words, you shouldn't get rattled easily. We need a strong adult phone presence

Giving estimates (basic math skills required)

Getting customer to commit. (confident sales skills required)

Scheduling window cleaning appointments. (Clear writing skills)

Maintaining an efficient and full work schedule for all teams.

Maintaining an accurate and reliable customer database.

Handling customer complaints/problems. (Communication skills)

Handling team or employee problems in the field. (Communication skills)

Entering customer data into database. (Strong general computer skills)

Processing credit card transactions.

Printing and batching invoices for teams. (Attention to detail skills)

Keeping in contact with and knowing where every team is working and how they are doing.

Keeping the teams in the field moving smoothly with minimal drive or unproductive time.

You must have your own reliable transportation all day. You must have a clean DMV driver's license record. You may be asked to run errands to bank, suppliers, or moving employees around., etc.

Stamping and labeling seasonal mailings.

Making reminder (sales) phone calls.

Maintaining a clean and inviting work environment by keeping the office, backroom, restroom, and break area stocked and clean and free of clutter.

Taking in and processing window screen orders from the field or walk-in orders.
