Position Purpose:

This Part-Time Office Assistant position is to support the practitioner 2 days a week, so he can attend to the care of his patients. As a front office assistant, you will oversee many of the office needs and offer direct patient support. We work in conjunction with an herbal pharmacy where our shared philosophy is of a holistic, natural way of healing.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Primary point of contact for front office.

Attending to the needs of the practitioner, office manager, patients and the office.

This includes:

Provide excellent customer service.

Confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.

A firm commitment to excellent attendance.

Provide clear communication with patients and practitioner.

Work well independently and collaboratively with others.

Attention to details, independent thinking and the ability to problem solve.

Essential Functions, Duties:

Scheduling of patient appointments; follow-up calls, cancellations, rescheduling.

Correspondence with patients via phone and email.

Maintain office needs; medical supplies, linen services, misc. orders.

Accurately track daily income, expenses and deposits.

Preparation of daily charts.

Miscellaneous errands to keep office running effectively and efficiently.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of QuickBooks

Knowledge of Schedulicity - optional

Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and keep office running smoothly.

A positive manner that reflects a supportive team.

Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

Basic Word, Excel and PC knowledge.

Some knowledge of insurance billing a plus.

Qualifications:

Ability to prioritize and organize workload.

Previous Administrative and/or Patient Support experience.

Ability to multi-task to keep office running smoothly.

Social Media experience a bonus.

Work Hours: Mon (8:15-5:15), Weds (8:15-5:15) Ability to cover coworker's time off/vacation.

Pay: $18/hour
