Blackwell's Wines & Spirits (www.blackwellswines.com) is looking for an energetic and detail oriented individual to join our growing San Rafael location. We are a boutique bottle shop, with a 15 year presence in San Francisco, and now a second location (for almost one year) in Marin County!
Our philosophy is simple - impeccable customer service and amazing product selection. (A libation enthusiasts playground!) We are looking for a Retail Wine/Spirits Sales Associate to join our new team in San Rafael - flexibility to work some days in our San Francisco location is a huge plus! Polished customer services skills and basic office computer aptitude are a must, as is a genuine passion for the libations industry.
Responsibilities:
-Assist customers visiting our store location
-Assist with online and phone order fulfillment: assemble orders/pack boxes/customer follow up via phone & email
-Stock and manage inventory on retail floor and storage area
-Maintain presentation of the store
-Assist with merchandising displays
-Assist with vendor tastings and product selections: opportunity to try a myriad of wines & spirits
Qualifications:
-Professional customer service demeanor: polished people and communication skills.
-Attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
-Ability to multitask and stay on point when jumping between job functions.
-Basic knowledge of the wine/spirits/beer industry - and enthusiasm to geek out and learn more
-Ability to lift 40-50lbs, and stay on feet for 7-8 hours per day.
-Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
-Strong work ethic and motivation.
This position provides the opportunity to grow more involved in various aspects of the business: marketing, online sales, product research, etc.
