If you enjoy working with people and assisting in the conduct of clinical research. . . if you believe in giving back to the Asian community. . . if helping others makes you happy. . . come join us in making a difference together!Summary: Responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of the LRRK2 Feasibility Study.Essential Functions: Promotes the LRRK2 Feasibility pilot project in the community; conducts outreach to potential participants by coordinating and conducting community meetings to introduce the program. Develops a Human Subjects Protocol and study questionnaire to be administered to participants. Coordinates and conducts enrollment meetings; presents the program and assists participants with completing study questionnaires; and provides follow-up as needed. Responsible for collecting information on the attitudes and beliefs of study population using multiple methods and platforms. Identifies the appropriate community organizations relevant to the project. Monitors service quality and program effectiveness; ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. Inputs participants' data to preferred databases. Analyzes program data, generates quarterly progress reports, and other materials for sponsor; submits internal monthly reports. Designs and develops program promotional materials and activity schedules. Participates in staff meetings and other meetings as required. Performs other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications: Education and experience: Specialists appointed at the Junior rank must possess a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) Specialists appointed at the Assistant rank must possess a master's degree (or equivalent degree) or five years of experience in the relevant specialization Specialists appointed at the Associate rank must possess a master's degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of experience in the relevant specialization Specialists appointed at the Full rank must possess a PhD (or equivalent degree or ten or more years of experience in the relevant specialization. Must possess strong self-motivation and ability to work with elderly people of all socioeconomic backgrounds. Demonstrated initiative and follow-through. Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Good public speaking skills. Willing to travel to various UCSF campuses, physician offices, and field facilities throughout the SF Bay Area Must be able to demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the internet.Preferred Qualifications: Experience in working in a clinical research or healthcare setting strongly preferred. Bilingual and bi-literate in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin). Familiarity with data management, biostatistics, and/or neuroscience. Experience with electronic medical records. Experience with regulatory submissions. Fluency in spoken and written Korean and/or Japanese and/or Vietnamese.Appointees in the Specialist series will be expected to engage in specialized research, professional activities and do not have teaching responsibilities. Specialists are expected to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions, and may participate in University and Public Service.
