Kindpeoples holds all of our security staff to the highest standard of professionalism. We are looking for Security candidates who are welcoming and engage in friendly and positive conversation with customers and emphasize/prioritize safety and security. Security is responsible for observing and reporting any suspicious activities and reporting all incidents with the proper documentation. Additionally, Security monitors and secures all access points around the facility.
KindPeoples hires unarmed security personnel to provide security services for the licensed retail premises. All security personnel hired are in compliance with Chapters 11.4 and 11.5 of Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code.
Security is responsible for but not limited to:
- Maintaining security presence at the front door
Responsible for opening the door and positively greeting everyone
Clearly articulate what documents are required for the customer to enter the facility
Denying the entry of any weapons
- Intercepting outside contacts
Collecting and logging incoming packages
Track all badges being checked out and note the individual’s name and the company’s name of all contractors/visitors
- Provide excellent customer service and a memorable experience for visitors
Customer service is crucial as Security guards are the first impression of KindPeoples
We strive to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere where our customers feel safe and comfortable
- Maintain the security of the sales floor and perimeter of each location
Continuously observe the counter and merchandise area, vigilant for theft or any disturbances
Monitoring the behavior of customers inside the building
Monitoring parking lots to prevent diversion and other illegal acts
Address customers who may break our internal policies and politely ask for a correction
Conducting sweeps of premises and adjacent areas, which include the clean-up of trash
- Monitoring security surveillance systems
- General cleaning sanitary practices
- Security Guard Card is not required upon hire but is preferred
Kindpeoples offers the opportunity to obtain guard cards after the successful completion of the 90-day probationary period
Minimum Requirements:
- All applicants must be available to work nights and weekends
- 2+ years of customer service experience preferred
- Experience with providing Security or performing related tasks
- Solid experience in communicating effectively and professionally with all patrons, no matter age, gender or medical situation
- Excellent active listening skills
- Desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
- Ability to lift 25 lbs or more
- Bilingual is a plus!
On average Security makes $16.50/ hour (consists of base pay plus tips)
