We are seeking a video editor to edit 15-20 minute videos for an educational YouTube channel about San Mateo County real estate. This is a remote position.

General scope/process:

- We are looking for an amazing editor to help us with our YouTube goals. Ideally the candidate has knowledge on how to best edit for YouTube engagement. However it’s not required. We can provide this information.

- You’ll be provided with A and B roll, a protocol, our branding and an example of a video that has elements we prefer. This will include our best practices editing for YouTube engagement, which has pattern interrupts about every 3 seconds.

- You will need to turn around a first pass within 10 days. A final within 2 weeks.

- You will need to have your own editing software and a way for us to provide feedback.

- You will need to add music if needed. We have a subscription to a music library if you need access.

- You’ll need to color correct and make needed adjustments to audio.

- You may need to occasionally source your own stock footage. We have a subscription to a stock library (Videvo and iStockPhoto.).

General technical requirements:

- Adding in Google Maps/Google Earth including satellite maps with some animation highlighting places and travel time

- Displaying news articles in a way that highlights certain text and also using a collage treatment

- Incorporating animated text on the screen

Deliverables:

- 1 16:9 high res full-length video for YouTube

- 1 srt file

- 1 txt file

- 1 9:16 60-90 second cut for social media

File Delivery:

- The deliverables will be uploaded to a shared Google Drive account.

Compensation:

- $750 flat rate to start with an opportunity to increase.

- All work will be performed as an independent contractor.
