Vacancy expired!
We are a well established design and construction company doing the vast majority of our work in central Marin County. We work predominately in Ross, Kentfield, Greenbrae, Larkspur, Corte Madera, Mill Valley and San Anselmo. We have extremely satisfied customers and get all of our work from word of mouth. We do medium to high end work and stay very busy. We usually have 2 to 4 projects running at the same time with opportunities to do small projects alone or work with a small team. We presently have 6 employees and wish to add an apprentice carpenter to the team. Applicant should be athletic, logical, good at basic math, patient and be able to keep a sense of humor going. Applicant should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in residential remodeling or manual labor of some kind. We do foundation to finish. We also do our own electrical work from time to time. The position requires that the applicant can work in a team setting and/or take on individual assignments. We encourage questions and a growth mindset. We are not looking to hire a lone wolf or a "boat builder." Position has growth possibilities to lead carpenter all the way to partial employee ownership. Benefits include health care reimbursement, vacation time, sick pay and bonuses. The position is available immediately, but I could wait up to a month for the right applicant to finish what they're presently working on. Please respond with a RESUME (outlining your experience, education and other interests) and several relevant references (not a letter from your mom). We are also willing to train the right applicant who demonstrates growth potential. Applicant should own basic hand tools, some electric and battery operated tools and have reliable transportation. A truck is not required, but is a plus. We have several ongoing jobs and will have indoor work for rainy days. We look to be staying busy throughout the following year with two large interior remodels on tap as well as a smattering of small jobs to fill the gaps. Job description would be carpenter's helper, individual carpentry tasks, some labor tasks. I look forward to reading your emails. Thanks!
