Duties:
- Create/edit part programs using Mastercam
- Perform advanced level setup of machines
- Read and edit G and M code on HAAS machines
- Work with machinists during the test run of the program to ensure process is good
- Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications using standard measuring tools
- Understand and comprehend all technical documents, including blueprints and drawings, written specifications, charts, tables, etc.
- Maintain a track record of high-quality work with low rework and scrap history.
- Maintain high efficiencies and run rates for a given machine.
- Work safely and as part of a high-performing team.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Basic machine maintenance
Requirements
- Works independently, follow instructions, and demonstrates strong attention to detail
- Properly uses basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, indicators, etc.)
- Understanding of basic machine language (G and M codes)
- Strong communication skills
- Mechanically inclined, with good manual dexterity
- 2 years of CNC programming experience
- 5-axis operation/setup/programming a plus
- Experience working with low-volume, high value parts
- Ability to fabricate fixtures, jigs, or parts using machining equipment
- Bilingual a plus (Spanish)
