211info is hiring Community Information Specialists to connect people with supports including housing, food, health care, legal aid and information about the Covid-19 vaccine. Community Information Specialists interview callers, share resource information and engage in creative problem-solving. Staff who work 30 hours or more a week receive 211info’s benefits package.
Candidates should have a year of crisis intervention/hotline service or a year of experience with a social service organization or contact center. Applicants should be adaptable to change, since Covid-19 information is updated frequently.
Pay is $16 an hour, with a 75-cent-an-hour language differential available. Most of our staff work remotely from locations throughout our service area, which encompasses all 36 Oregon counties and four counties in Southwest Washington. People who are BIPOC, speak languages in addition to English, and who live in rural areas are encouraged to apply.
